Business Developer for PDQ Wood & Composites
Objectives of position
- The Business Developer’s mission is to develop, promote and enhance PDQ W&C business in North América (USA and Canada).
- This position is responsible for the daily business (tasks which are operative in character) as well as to drive the general development (tasks with more strategic character) of the PDQ Wood & Composites business in North America.
Job Duties:
- Identify new business opportunities within the PDQ W&C cutting tooling market area which e.g. means to be aware of and to track future trends and needs
- Analyze new opportunities and products, participating in business fairs and events.
- Exchange knowledge about product offer requirements with PDQ HQ
- Introduce and take part in marketing activities to grow PDQ W&C business
- Participate and follow up on commercial negotiations (processing offers and orders)
- Identify and communicate reporting on the evolution of the commercial activities
- Provide technical support to customers in North America market
- Assist in defining pricing policy and product mix for offers in North American market.
- Support in the hiring process for future PDQ W&C salesmen.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or business, preferred
+10 years in the Wood and Composites Industry in North America. Commercial and business development experience required.
Product experience in Wood and Composites cutting tool market.
Relationship management skills to effectively interface with a wide variety of external and internal customers and stakeholders.
Technical aptitude with the ability to position PDQ W&C related products as solutions to specific customer needs.
Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of sustained activity, manager multiple opportunities and deliver results in accordance with established objectives.
Positive attitude and works well with minimal supervision.
